What is S-cubed?

The Science Students’ Society, (S Cubed, or S3) was established at the first Annual General Meeting held by the founding committee on the 7th April, 2003 for all students in the Faculty of Science at the University of Malta.

The main aim of S3 is to promote unity among all students and potential students of science through social and educational activities.

The other specific aims of the society are:

(i) To represent its members at the University of Malta.

(ii) To represent its members on a wider national and international level.

(iii) To promote cultural and scientific interchanges amongst its members.

(iv) To encourage the development of an environment more conducive to the advancement of science.

The society reserves the right to take part in public but STRICTLY NON-PARTISAN campaigns which the Committee and/or the General Meeting approves of as being in the national or members’ interest according to the Statute.

S3 is a non-profit making student.  It recognizes the right of ALL its members to participate effectively in S3.

Any student duly registered at the Faculty of Science at the University of Malta as a student and recognised as such by the University Authorities, shall automatically become an S cubed member.

Scubed is run by a committee of current University students from the faculty of science. The committee, is re-elected annually by the members of that year.
